INCLUSIONS

I love to document engagement portrait sessions and this why I have created a variety of engagement packages. I normally include a complimentary portrait session in all of my wedding collections. Sometimes though I do receive inquiries for engagement pictures only. As New York photographer, I want to be able to offer you an affordable option for you to be able to have beautiful engagement photographs. Our engagement photography packages pricing are for clients within the Tri-State. However, we do travel and would love to speak with you about your destination engagement session.

ENGAGEMENT SESSIONS

Engagement sessions are the time where we get to know each other, I get to see how you interact together, and you become comfortable in front of my camera. We get to shoot in any location you choose and you can wear what you are comfortable in. It’s just you guys and me, unfolding your love story. After the session, we’ll probably grab drinks or dinner together to further our relationship and when your images are ready, they’ll be delivered via online gallery. Our engagement session price list can also be used for other portrait sessions. You can use this price list for a surprise proposal, bride and groom portraits, day after session, anniversary portraits and bridal portrait photography.

HIGH RESOLUTION FILES & NO WATERMARKS

All of the photos taken will be delivered in high resolution which can be used for personal use such as printing enlargements and your own albums. Also there will be no ugly watermark slapped on your memories.

ONLINE GALLERY

Presented in the order of time we captured your moments, go through your own online gallery as many times as you want! This can also be easily shared onto social media such as Facebook, Instagram or shared via email to family and friends. However you choose to share, it is available to you. This will be complete and ready to share within 2-3 weeks. You will get a sneak peek the next morning of your wedding.

FAQ

What should we expect after we book our session?

One of my favorite things to do is an Engagement Session whether it is before the big day, after your big day, anniversary portraits surprise proposal. I will first send you a short questionnaire and encourage you to fill it out together. I love learning about how you met, all about the proposal and what you enjoy doing together. This will allow me to capture who you are as a couple and help us brainstorm the best locations for your session.

Where should we do our session?

Find a great location with amazing light! I’m always asked for recommendations and I have many, but I encourage all my couples to try to research and find a unique place that really speaks to them as a couple. What I always look for in a place is beautiful light. I start a session approximately 1.5 to 2 hours before the sunset, depending on the location. As the sun begins to descend we get this amazing gorgeous golden light, the optimal light for photographs.

If you do have a special indoor place, such as where you had your first date or your favorite ice cream joint we can definitely do that. Again, I just look for natural light from a window or open doorway. I would also recommend calling and speaking to the owner or manager to make sure we can photograph there. If it is a popular place we should choose and time/date, such as during the week, when there is less traffic.

We want to take pictures in a super cool location. Do you know if we need a permit?

I would love to help you with this, but the answer is that I am not sure. There are many places that do require you to get a permit and those are major places like Times Square, Grand Central Terminal, etc. Keep in mind the permit has to be obtained by the client and not the Photographer. Please do the research. If we try to shoot in a location that requires a permit, and we don't have one, we'll be asked to leave. I don't want that to happen to us.

What should we wear?

Engagement session is just as important as the day of your wedding. I would recommend bringing two outfits dressy casual and dressy. What I mean by dressy casual is clothes that you would wear for maybe a casual dinner date. For example, a cute pair of jeans, a cute top/sweater, with boots for a fall or winter session or a cute dress for spring or summer. The guys could wear nice jeans and a button up shirt. For dressy how about a dress and heels for the ladies and a suit or sport jacket for the guys. You also shouldn’t match in color but wear complimentary colors. If it’s a fall/winter session where warm color tones, for spring/summer choose subdued bright colors that do not reflect are key (hot pink and neon colors are extremely reflective….Say NO to neon!)

Can we bring our pet to the session?

Yes, for sure. I love when couples bring their furry children! I would just recommend bringing someone to watch them while they’re not in the photo and to help get their attention during photos.

Do you provide props? Can we bring our own props?

At this time, we do not provide props. It is up to you if you would like to bring props. I just use what the environment has to offer, sitting on a rock, or having you carry a wildflower. Some couples use their engagement session photos for Save-the-date cards to send to guests so they will bring a sign with the date of the wedding on it or some bring old photos of their parents. I would just keep it to 1 or 2 props so it doesn’t take away from your session.

Can we share our pictures on social media?

Yes, you sure can. But do the right thing and give Sharp Perspective Photography a shout out in your mentions. Let everyone know that we are here for them and to make sure that their big day will be taken care of.

How long does it take before we receive our photographs?

You will receive an online gallery link with all your photos within maximum 3 weeks (sometimes less depending on the season I photograph your story). You can download all the photos from the gallery but also share them, choose your favorites, and also order prints!
The same night or the next morning, I can provide you with a few sneak peeks which you can share or update profile photos the next day.
